A fresh new start for me, a fresh new image - I love it.

The Last of the Autumn Warmth

And this was not even a week ago, but now I think that a wee bit of the winter cold is creeping in now.   

The girls and I went for a walk and just soaked up the sun, it was so beautiful.  I often do this walk , it is truely an inspirational place for me.  This nature reserve is just behind my house.  It is a place that holds many memories for me, a place that I have come to since I was a child.  It's a place that I have often retreated to, a place that I have walked, riden my mountain bike, had picnics, contemplated life, cried, laughed, and conquered.  The hill is not very big, but the views from the top are sensational - this is where my husband and I became engaged.

So these images are so increbily special to me.  Infact, I love this so much, I am thinking of making this dyptich into a huge canvas for our bedroom.

Lest We Forget

ANZAC DAY 2009

Image taken at the Australian War Memorial, yesterday.   

My children have recently learned the story of Simpson and his donkey.  Together we found his name amongst the endless walls of the memorial and placed some poppies to remember him, and the countless other heros that helped make our country the amazing place we live today.

 

Two Lovely Brothers [Canberra Child Photographer]

One of the wonderful things about my job is the fact that I am given the opportunity to meet and spend time with some wonderful people, and this family were no exception.  I had the pleasure of photographing the Harding family recently with their two amazing boys Liam and Nathan.

Liam was a toddler on the move, everything happened in fast motion - he ran everywhere, and Thomas the Tank engine never left his hand.  I was so grateful to have his big brother Nathan there to hold his hand and play with him.  

And this last image makes me laugh, you just can't make a two year old sit down can you.

For Mum

because I have so few photos of my boy here.  There is a reason for this, Will hates being in front of the camera.  Every time the camera comes out, he ducts for cover, and if I do manage to grab a pic, he makes some sort of unflattering face.  On the odd occasion, I am lucky and he is feeling generous and he lets me take a few "normal" pics of him, but it usually comes at a price to me - a Spongebob Square Pants comic book will buy me about 10-5 minutes with him.

Just 10 Days Old [Canberra Newborn Photographer]

I took these images for a friend of mine sometime ago now, but have just never quite got around to posting them on my blog.  This little man is now nearly one year of age and nearly walking, wow, time just flies by way too quickly doesn't it.

This seems to have been such a long time in coming, but I am really thrilled with the results.  Ashley Jankowski worked tirerlessly with me as I changed my mind constantly with what I wanted.  So without further adue, here is my new logo.

I had so many ideas in my head as to what I wanted, but in the end, non seemed meaningful to me.  It took some of my amazing friends to point out the absolute obvious to me - my symbol should be a robin.  Now why didn't I think of that.  I have such great plans for my little friend up there sitting on the letter G.

I also just wanted to share some images I captured whilst up in the Gold Coast recently.  This beautiful young lady belongs to a photographer Kym Berry.  Isn't she beautiful, and such a trooper - it was sooo hot out there.

I had a bundle of fun photographing these three beautiful children, I could have spent all afternoon playing with these kids.  They were full of energy, and cheeky - just the way I like it.  I certainly got my excerise during this session - running around chasing these guys.  

So here are just a couple of pics from our session - it was so hard to choose just a couple, cause there were so many that I loved. 

Home Again

exhausted, but have had a wonderful holiday.  I think they are the best type of holidays, the ones where at the end, you just crave for the quiet routine of life.  We have travelled huge distances, saw some beautiful terrain, and caught up with great friends and family along the way.
